Information below is great for giving you and your families an idea of what to expect during this time. Look forward to seeing you on the field!
Summer Music Academy begins Monday, July 24th for all NEW members (freshman through seniors who have not marched before) and leadership; Tuesday, July 25th, for returning members. Consult Charms for specific times of your KR activities. To prepare for Summer Music Academy (SMA), attend all Summer Rehearsals when you are in town, complete KR Enrollment Process and Athletic Clearance Physical, and get adequate sleep during SMA to promote concentration and endurance. Start drinking extra water several days before SMA begins to get your body hydrated and prepared.
Beginning Week 2, SMA days are long (1 pm-9 pm), and students will be outside often. We recommend you label and bring the items below in a backpack every day starting Day 1 of SMA (you’ll be glad you did).

*Dinner break is 45 minutes (students are not allowed to leave campus during the break). As a convenience (and our first fundraiser of the year), SMA Dinners are available for advance order/purchase to help assure your student is nourished and rested during their 45-minute dinner break. These dinners are from local restaurants, brought to campus, and served by booster parents. Dinners can be purchased during one of our enrollment dates.
