San Marcos Bands student Isabelle Jamois wins Rotary International Youth Instrumental Contest
On Sunday (3/18), Isabelle Jamois performed in and won the Final Round of the Rotary International Youth Instrumental Contest. Performing Concertino (For Flute) by Cecile Chaminade, Isabelle played alongside 3 other finalists and was awarded first place by the contest judges. All 4 finalists are very talented scholastic musicians from schools across San Diego and Isabelle is the first student from San Marcos High School to ever win the contest!
Isabelle Jamois is a Junior at San Marcos High School, is a member of the Conservatory for Leadership & the Arts, and performs in the Wind Symphony. She has performed with the Axiom Performance Ensemble, is a 3-year member of the Knight Regiment Marching Band, and plays locally in the Civic Youth Orchestra. Isabelle has also performed in the All-State Honor Band and she studies privately with flutist Jane Masur.
