The average annual, cost per student to run the SMHS Band and CG Program* at the level it currently holds itself to, is far beyond what the District is able to provide. Currently the district provides two Directors, a small uniform budget and a few grants that vary each year. The rest of the funding is made of a combination of family sponsorships, business sponsorships or fundraising**.

It is a priority to this program that all students, regardless of financial situations, be given the same access to music education. To make that a reality we need our band, school and San Marcos Community to support this beloved program. Without the help of the community this program could not be where it is today.

A family or business donation is not assigned to one student but is there to support the program as a whole.

How can you help?

• Sponsor a Student Today with a $550 donation.

• Pledge your Sponsorship and sign up for our monthly donation option. Many families and local businesses love this option!

• Donate another amount. All donations are very gratefully received and contribute to our goal of having every student in the program sponsored.

• Take a “Sponsor a Student” Request Letter to local businesses you frequent. If you let us know where you dropped it off, our Sponsorship team will follow up with them! Email us at: vpfundraising@sanmarcosbands.org
